The Middle Tennessee STEM Innovation Hub, housed at Middle Tennessee State University, has hundreds of items available to support a variety of STEM lessons. We have items appropriate for different grade levels K-12 and assist students in learning coding, math, science, engineering, and technology.

These resources are available to teachers in the Middle Tennessee region for free and may require some training. Middle Tennessee STEM Innovation Hub is excited to partner with you and be a resource to enhance your classroom.

Sphero Bolt
The Sphero Bolt opens up an endless array of coding and gaming capabilities. Use advanced sensors to track speed, acceleration, and direction, or drive BOLT without having to aim your robot thanks to the compass. Dash and Dot are robots that can sense, act and think! Students use block coding on four different iPad apps to control their robots. The durable and child friendly robots are a safe and easy way to encourage STEAM learning in your classroom.

Ozobot Evo
Evo is the social coding robot for children ages 9 and up. There are two ways to code Evo: online with OzoBlockly programming and screen free with Color Code. It has sensors to interact with its environment, lights, a speaker and social capabilities.

Elegoo R3 ProjectArduino is an open-source platform used for building electronics projects. Arduino consists of both a physical programmable circuit board (often referred to as a microcontroller) and a piece of software, or IDE (Integrated Development Environment) that runs on your computer, used to write and upload computer code to the physical board.

The UNO boards can be used as the brains behind almost any electronics project. UNO can interact with buttons, LEDs, motors, speakers, GPS units, cameras, the internet, and even your smart-phone or your TV!

Reflex Hammer Accessory KitThe Reflex Hammer Accessory Kit converts your Vernier force sensor into a reflex hammer. Use it to capture the strike of the hammer on a tendon. When used with an EKG sensor to record EMGs, students can study reflexes.
